Top 5 UK Babymoon Destinations
1. Salcombe
Taking the top spot is Salcombe, the postcard-pretty Devon town known for its sparkling estuary views, sailing culture and laid-back atmosphere. Researchers found that more than half of the town’s hotels are rated four stars or above, while visitors also benefit from a strong selection of highly rated restaurants and waterside attractions. Its combination of coastal scenery, quality accommodation and opportunities to slow down helped secure first place.
2. Lyme Regis
Famous for its historic harbour and dramatic Jurassic Coast setting, Lyme Regis ranked second. The Dorset favourite stood out for its impressive hotel offering, with nearly two-thirds of accommodation rated four stars or higher. It also recorded some of the strongest restaurant ratings in the study, making it an attractive choice for a food-focused escape by the sea.
3. Southwold
Southwold completes the top three. The Suffolk seaside town scored particularly highly for dining, with nine in 10 restaurants achieving four-star ratings or above. Its compact size, colourful beach huts and easy-to-explore seafront make it ideal for a gentle coastal break.
