A Light Twist on Classic Waldorf Salad

This tangy version is, dare we say, even yummier!

Waldorf salad is one of those classic holiday (or any time) salads that can be a bit divisive. Some people love the creamy combo of mayonnaise, grapes, walnuts and apples. Others find it less appealing.

We think we've found a way to please everyone! This versions achieves a lighter, tangier, fresher flavor by using an ingredient that Grandma wouldn't have been easily able to find: Greek yogurt! Full-fat Greek yogurt, specifically, creates a fresh, delicious Waldorf salad that's good enough that the Waldorf-lovers will still love it.

And the disbelievers? They won't believe how tasty it is.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup seedless red grapes, halved
  • 1 cup seedless green grapes, halved
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced, plus 1/2 cup celery leaves
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, chopped
  • 1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup full fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • Kosher salt

Directions

    1. Step 1Stir together red grapes, green grapes, celery stalks and leaves, apple, pecans, yogurt, and lemon juice in a bowl. Season with salt. Serve immediately.
