Carrie Underwood took the stage during Alan Jackson’s final concert to honor the country music icon. After the event, she took to Instagram to share a tribute to the country star—and a pretty incredible throwback photo.
Carrie was one of the many country stars who took the stage at Nissan Stadium to perform during Last Call: One More for the Road The Finale.” She sang the 1997 ballad “Everything I Love,” but the “Before He Cheats” singer credits Alan as a major influence in her career.
Carrie shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram account, including a snapshot of a young Carrie posing with her Alan Jackson poster. She wrote, “Life has a way of coming full circle. The very first concert I ever attended was @officialalanjackson back in 1994, and it changed my life. This little girl posing in front of his poster could have never imagined she’d one day be standing on stage at his farewell concert, celebrating this legendary artist whose music has been such a big part of her life.”
Her message continued, “What an incredible and unforgettable night. I soaked up every moment...and we all sang along to every word! ❤️ Thank you, Alan, for inspiring generations of artists and fans. It was truly an honor to be part of your special night.”
Fans chimed in with their own memories and shared their appreciation for Carrie’s performance. One wrote, “You crushed it. Thanks for living in the moment out there too. I’m sure Alan and the band appreciated seeing you over there rockin out.” Another commented, “I saw him throw you a pick Saturday night. You ran out and grabbed it so excitedly like you were still the little girl attending that first concert. One of my favorite moments from the night ❤️”
Carrie went on to become one of the most successful country artists in history, and her fans are loving this full-circle moment.
