• ‘Dutton Ranch’ has been a major success for Paramount+.
  • The ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff is the biggest original launch in the history of the streaming network.
  • Now, the show has officially been renewed for a second season.

It’s a good day to be Dutton Ranch fans! After seven stellar episodes and endless fanfare, Paramount+ has officially greenlit the Beth and Rip drama for a second season.

On Wednesday, June 24, Paramount+ announced that Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will be reprising their roles as Beth and Rip in another installment of the record-breaking series. After amassing 12.9 million viewers globally in the seven days following the premiere, raking in 2.9 million viewers during the two-episode premiere on Paramount Network, and attracting nearly 100 million engagements on social media, Dutton Ranch has unquestionably cemented itself as not only the biggest original series launch in Paramount+ history, but also as the most popular show of the moment.

“Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history, and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world,” Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+, said in the Season 2 announcement release. "We’re also incredibly grateful to our partners, including the teams at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, for bringing this new series to life with such grit, heart, and authenticity.

Dutton Ranch has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity,” Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios, added in the release. “Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in Season Two.”

As expected, fans can hardly contain their excitement over the news. “Firstly, yay! I never doubted the return! However… I want more BETH + RIP! They are @duttonranch,” one fan commented on Instagram. “Everyone here wants more Beth and Rip scenes. Yes! But you have to remember that the first season, a completely new environment and people whose world and characters with backstories need to be built and brought out....so that Rip and Beth can face them in strong scenes and situations in the future. We already know what Rip and Beth are like... they need a lot of strong supporting characters that Beth and Rip will then dominate and destroy in the coming seasons! 😎 This beginning of the series and the first season have been absolutely brilliant already! Thank you....once again, Taylor Sheridan, for the wonderful series,” another fan responded. “Like it wasn't gonna be renewed! I mean, come on, let's be honest, as soon as season 1 was confirmed, so were seasons 2, 3, and 4 (hopefully more). You have two of the best on-screen characters in modern history, with absolute oceans worth of stories for each of them and endless possibilities. Y Marshals does not have Rip, so naturally, it was always like the cousin nobody actually talks to, but Dutton Ranch is as good and has the potential to be better than Yellowstone,” someone else exclaimed.

As it currently stands, we have two episodes left of Season 1 to see what happens to Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) following the shock of a lifetime from Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind), Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), and Carter’s (Finn Little) disastrous displays at the 10 Petal’s 190th Anniversary Celebration, as well as how Rip and Beth will navigate it all. New episodes of Dutton Ranch air Fridays on Paramount+ and at 8 p.m. ET on Paramount Network.
