Long before she was turning heads as Angela Norris on Landman, Ali Larter was a part of one of the most beloved comedies of the early 2000s. Last weekend, she stepped out for an appearance that will have fans feeling nostalgic.
Ali joined up with her Legally Blonde castmates for a special reunion in honor of the movie’s 25th anniversary. Ali was joined by Reese Witherspoon, Selma Blair, Jennifer Coolidge, and more stars for Prime Video’s “Elle World” in New York. The event paid homage to the 2001 movie and celebrated the upcoming prequel Elle, which will premiere on July 1.
Fans will remember Ali from her unforgettable role as Brooke Taylor-Windham, Elle Woods’s sorority sister and fitness mogul who is accused of murdering her husband and hires Elle as her attorney. In a panel for the reunion, she told the audience, “In a lot of movies during that time, you would have seen characters like ours who were kindred spirits, we would actually be competitive. And in this movie we weren’t. It was women building each other up from the beginning. I think that was one of the things that kind of differentiated it and made it very cool.”
Ali shared photos from the event on Instagram and wrote, “💗Legally Blonde 25th Anniversary💗Is it even possible?! It was so amazing to reconnect with this special cast and reminisce about all our favorite scenes. Ummmm… Liposuction! What a dream to be part of a movie that has inspired so many people and delivered so much laughter and pure joy. Can’t wait to watch Elle!”
The actress, who celebrated her 50th birthday in February, went with an on-theme dress for the event—an elegant Carolina Herrera strapless gown covered in pink sequin flowers. She coordinated perfectly with her former costars.
Ali’s career has taken her from Varsity Blues to Final Destination to Heroes. While the reunion will have fans reminiscing, most will be wondering when she’ll return to stealing scenes as Angela Norris on Landman. Production on season three of the Taylor Sheridan hit is expected to kick off this summer, so it won’t be too long.
