When are the Burghley Horse Trials 2026?
The Burghley Horse Trials will take place from Thursday 3rd – Sunday 6th September 2026.
- Dressage takes place on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September
- Cross country takes place on Saturday 5th September
- Show jumping takes place on Sunday 6th September
Where are the Burghley Horse Trials 2026?
Burghley Horse Trials take place at Burghley House, Stamford, Lincolnshire. The event is signposted. Using a satnav, the postcode PE9 3JY will direct you towards Burghley House. Once you see the temporary yellow signs, please follow these and turn off your satnav.
Please note that all of the car parks are within the event grounds. Car passes and admission tickets are required to enter. These can be purchased on entry.
The Burghley Horse Trials website has information on reaching the site by train, taxi, bus and coach. They also have information on disabled access.
How can you book tickets for Burghley Horse Trials 2026?
Advance tickets are available online at discounted prices until Sunday 30th August 2026. After this date, standard-price tickets will be available.
Can you take your dog to Burghley Horse Trials 2026?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Defender Burghley Horse Trials, but they must be kept under control and on a short lead at all times (extending leads are not permitted). Dogs, apart from assistance dogs, are not permitted in the grandstands, restaurants or indoor areas of the Members’ Enclosure.
A dog crèche will be available on site from 9am–5pm Thursday to Sunday. Dogs can be left for a maximum of four hours at a time and charges apply. Sunday afternoon bookings (1.30pm until the end of show jumping) must be made in advance.
All proceeds from the dog crèche support Samsalin Dog Rescue.
