Buckingham Palace has shared a new photo of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to mark the couple's 73rd wedding anniversary today (20th November).
The sweet photo, which was taken by Chris Jackson at Windsor Castle earlier this week, shows the royal couple reading anniversary cards and letters sent by well-wishers.
In the picture, the Duke of Edinburgh can be seen holding a colourful card made by their great-grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, with multi-coloured circles and a large '73' on the front.
The picture was taken in Windsor Castle's stunning Oak Room and shows the Queen wearing a pale-blue dress, accessorised with pearls and the beautiful Chrysanthemum brooch she has worn many times before. Beside her on the sofa sits Prince Philip in a suit and tie.
Alongside the touching image posted to the Royal Family Instagram account last night (19 November), a caption read: "This new image has been released to mark the 73rd wedding anniversary of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh tomorrow.
"In the photograph Her Majesty and His Royal Highness are seen looking at an anniversary card made by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, alongside other cards and letters sent by well-wishers.
