A small but quirky Grade II listed lodge house situated on the edge of Silvermere Golf Club in Cobham, Surrey, is on the market for £595,000.
Approached via a secluded driveway, The Dairy – once part of Foxwarren Park – sits on a wonderful private plot of approximately 0.2 acres.
With one bedroom and one bathroom, the 768 sq ft house may look tiny from the outside but the living quarters are well portioned for a property of this size. The accommodation is broken into two parts adjoined by the entrance hall, which also provides access to the rear gardens.
The main open-plan living area is bright and airy with a lounge and dining area at one end, and a tiny kitchen at the other. Meanwhile, the triple aspect, octagonal bedroom has a mezzanine level which can be accessed with a drop down ladder. There are also five arched windows to provide plenty of natural light, and cupboards and drawers either side for storage.

The private landscaped gardens feature mature hedging to the boundaries, a large lawn, attractive beds and a patio just off the living area. There is also a home office/summerhouse, conveniently with power, plus a garden shed and a larger wooden building which could be used as a garage.
The estate was designed by Charles Buxton with the assistance of Fredrick Barnes in around 1860. In 1999 the property underwent a complete restoration programme and it even won a Surrey Historical Building Trust award in 2003.
