Thanksgiving always comes with a flurry of activity, from grocery shopping to hosting friends and family for the big meal. With everything you have on your to-do list, it's understandable if you need to run out to a store for some last-minute provisions. But first, you need to know: What stores are open on Thanksgiving? Your options are limited, but there are some stores that remain open. Keep in mind that many have reduced hours on the holiday, so call before you go. Also, in-store services like the pharmacy might be closed.
Maybe you forgot an ingredient for your family’s favorite pie or cleaner (or toilet paper!) to get your house ready for guests. Maybe you need to get a jump start on some Christmas shopping while certain family members are still in town. Many stores, big chains like Target and Walmart, are closed on Thanksgiving. Need a few last-minute groceries? Hours may vary for your local store, but ACME has been open on Thanksgiving in years past.
Rite Aid
Rite Aid is opening up bright and early for all your Turkey Day purchases. Although most locations will open at 7 a.m., some schedules might vary, so make sure you check your local store ahead of time.

If you're looking for a gift or something for yourself, you can drop by Victoria's Secret on Thanksgiving—but not until later in the day. Most stores were open by 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day last year.
