• Lainey Wilson starred as Abby on season 5 of Yellowstone.
  • Fans are wondering if she could reprise her role on Dutton Ranch.
  • Her onscreen love interest, Ian Bohen, spoke out on the possibility.

Abby and Ryan fans, Dutton Ranch might be about to get a whole lot sweeter!

On Wednesday, July 29, Ian Bohen (Ryan) told Us Weekly that a continued storyline in the Yellowstone spinoff isn’t out of the question. “It would be interesting to see where Abby and Ryan are within that world,” the 49-year-old actor said while walking the red carpet at the New York City premiere for Lioness, another Taylor Sheridan hit that he landed a role in. “They got one season under their belt, and they’re figuring out their future and their arc for the next several seasons; maybe there’ll be a spot for those two people to show up and contribute—that’d be great.”

Fans agree. “OMGG PLEASE,” one fan excitedly pleaded on Instagram. “Yes! And Jimmy, Teeter, Kayce plus Tate. Just make it happen,” someone else commented. “Teeter & Lloyd is the only answer,” another fan quipped.

As you may recall, Abby and Ryan started dating during Season 5, Episode 1. While the pair had their differences, by the time the series finale rolled around, Ryan decided to give up another ranching job to put his personal life first and go on the road with Abby (who, like Lainey Wilson, was a musician). And that was that. While fans were glad to see the pair heading off into the sunset together, they undeniably hoped for more of the couple’s storyline. Now, there’s a chance that the open-ended finale could circle back to Dutton Ranch. After all, Abby and Ryan’s last scene together was at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas. Fingers crossed!
