With the Summerween trend in full swing, it feels like Halloween prep is getting earlier and earlier. It’s not surprising that big brands drop decor lines for the season in July and August. LEGO just released most of their new Halloween sets this week to add to their growing collection of spooky decor. While I might not be inclined to display Halloween until September, with LEGO you need to allot time to assemble these sets, so buying earlier is a wise plan.
As a lover of the LEGO Botanical line, I’m particularly excited about the Dark Flower arrangement that is filled with moody colored blooms, and good for year-round display. Below I’ve highlighted the new sets, along with some previous favorites for the whole family. LEGO fans can also preorder a new haunted house set called Mayor Manor, which features glow-in-the-dark minifigures, that won’t be released until September 1.
No need to break out the carving tools for this jack-o’-lantern. Instead you’ll piece together his grin. Kids will love that this includes a light brick that turns on when they press the stem. Ages 9+
I have nearly every botanical set that LEGO has released and I’ll definitely be adding this 562-piece set to my collection. I love the deeper hues of blacks, reds, and purples that really fit the fall season. Ages 18+
My favorite thing about LEGO is the brand’s attention to detail. Just look at this skull candle’s gold tooth, glow-in-the-dark eyes, the spilled bottles, and the spiderwebs. Ages 9+
LEGO is adding to their Day of the Dead offerings with this elegant skeleton that’s designed for adult builders. She stands 17 inches tall on a base of marigolds when completed and has accessories like a hat and butterflies to complete the look. Ages 18+
The truth is out there, and with this LEGO set, The X-Files fans can reenact all their favorite scenes from the sci-fi series. There are a lot of details packed into just 1,478 pieces, including Mulder’s office, a forest, and a UFO that looks like it’s floating. Ages 18+
LEGO has released several haunted houses over the years, but this one is the first designed for adults. It also includes three minifigures that glow-in-the-dark, along with a cat and rat. This two-story structure is packed with gothic architectural elements both inside and out. Ages 18+
So many iconic elements of Halloween are featured on this one wreath, including a bat, ghost, spiderweb, and pumpkin. From prior experience, I can attest that LEGO wreaths are easy to hang up—all you need is a Command hook! Ages 12+
I love gifting the creator 3-in-1 sets to kids because they can be made multiple ways. You can use the included bricks to build and rebuild either the haunted mansion pictured, an eerie pirate ship, or a ghost train. Ages 9+
If you feel like somebody’s watching you, you aren’t wrong. There are eyes peeking out of the barn doors, and there are tentacles coming out of the ground. It’s a 205-piece set that’s a fun addition to a LEGO city. Ages 9+
Instead of just a standard play set, I like that this one is a greenhouse that opens up, with a stunning black dahlia on top. I think this could be a great addition to any LEGO botanical collection, even if you aren’t obsessed with Wednesday. Ages 9+
Technically this is for Day of the Dead on November 1, but this colorful skull is a great way to get kids involved in making an ofrenda. The back side is a fully decorated altar with florals, food, and other accessories. Ages 9+
This 177-piece set features an oversized pumpkin on a car with a farmer minifigure. The top comes off and there are other Halloween surprises inside. Ages 8+
I’m a huge The Nightmare Before Christmas fan, and I got this one last year. It's a big investment, so it has earned a place of pride year-round on my bookshelf. It’s 2,193 pieces, so it’s not designed for beginners, but it’s packed with so many details including eight characters from the movie. This is slated to retire at the end of 2026, so if you’re hoping to get it, now’s the time. Ages 18+
I am not normally a super fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean but I’ve been tempted to get this replica of Captain Jack Sparrow’s ship because it’s absolutely stunning with its black exterior. There are moving elements with the cannons and rudder, and it can be displayed in two different ways. Ages 18+
The Goonies are good enough for a LEGO set. This massive 2,912-piece set is more for advanced builders. You can put together this entire pirate ship, which is filled with rooms for Chunk and the gang’s treasure hunting quest. Ages 18+
